All arrangements have been concluded for the commencement of 3rd edition of Hassan BUA Tennis competition in Bauchi.
The competition was scheduled to start on Saturday, 22nd October, 2022 at Stadium extension of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi.
The sponsor of the competition a veteran sports journalist and one time SWAN Chairman in Adamawa State, Alhaji Hassan Abba Aminu, made the disclosure while interacting with sports journalists in Bauchi where he said as a veteran sports journalist he will do everything humanly possible to encourage young sporting activities in Bauchi.
Hassan Abba said “this is the third edition of the competion we are preparing, the first one was in the year 2019 in 2020 we organized the second edition.we could not orgazed the third edition in 2021 due to my health challenges, by Allah’s grace the third edition hold this month as scheduled”.
He said the competion is an opon one with little registration of N1000,00 for participating players within Bauchi state while participants coming outside Bauchi state will pay registration fee of N1,500,00.
Hassan further revealed that, the Long Tenis competion will be single and double and price award for the winner of the single is N50,000,00 cash and runners up for the single goes home with N30, 000,00. While the Winner of the Double long Tenis completion will be awarded with N20,000,00 each and the second position will enjoy N10,000,00 each.
He said the purpose of organizing the competition is to encourage the game of Tennis amongst youth to make them purposeful ,thereby preparing them for future state and national championship especially now that the National Sports Festival is fast approaching.
