The President of the United Stock Fish Association Anambra State, Mr. Celestine Ezewulu, says the association has employed professional nurses and the use of infrared machines to check the temperature of every trader and customers entering the market daily.
Mr. Ezewulu also disclosed that their market has also sponsored the training of traders on how to produce hand sanitizers, stating that such efforts have yielded huge results as the market produces quality hands sanitizers now in high demand.
He revealed that anyone entering their market is now privileged to undergo important medical checks and will be sanitized for free, urging other markets and business premises to emulate their style of containing the spread of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Hotel Owners Association, Anambra North Chapter, Chief Lawrence Okechukwu, has called on the State government to shut down brothels flouting Covid-19 protocols in the state.
Speaking to newsmen in Onitsha, Chief Okechukwu expressed worries that some brothels have resumed normal activities, relegating the need to practice Covid-19 preventive measures to the background.
He said such a development could result to spike in Covid-19 cases and as well sabotage sincere efforts of the government in containing the spread of the virus.
