Why insecurity has reduced in Ardo-Kola LG – chairman, lauds Governor Kefas, wife over visit of Mrs. Tinubu to Taraba

The Chairman, Ardo-Kola Local Government Council of Taraba State, Hon. Samaila Zakari Dangote has attributed significant reduction of insecurity in the area to the unwavering commitment of the State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas.

In addition, the council boss also commended Governor Kefas and wife Agyi for successfully hosting Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu on her two-day official working visit to the State.

Dangote who spoke in an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Jalingo on Monday revealed that the people of the area sleep now with two eyes closed compared to the past.

According to him, regular meetings by the Governor with security agents in the state had paid-off as people moved freely, day and night without fear or molestation.

The council boss further disclosed that on his part as chief security officer in the area, he decided to engage in a routine visit to entire villages in the area to ensure interface with communities, he stated.

Speaking on the ongoing projects in the area, the council chairman highlighted the construction of new bridge at Mayo-Ranewo, Kefas Produce Parliative Market Sunkani, renovation of Council Secretariat and Office Accommodation of Local Government Council Chairman respectively among several others.

Hon. Dangote while expressing appreciation to governor Kefas magnamity intervention funds released to Council’s Chairmen for projects, said arrangements have been concluded for commissioning of Mayo-Ranewo bridge by the governor before end of next week.

On the just concluded recent visit by the Nation’s First Lady, the council chairman gave kudos to the governor and his wife for attracting Mrs. Tinubu’s maiden working visit to the state.

He pointed out that the visit was rewarding and indicates that governor Kefas movements outside Taraba was not for jamboree but meant to attract the dividend of democracy to the people who elected him into office.

Dangote cited donation of N50 million to 1000 petty women traders in the state, distribution of 10,000 scrubs and 10,000 pairs of crocs of the professional kits to healthcare workers in the north east by Sen. Oluremi Tinubu among other items was a clear testimony of governor Agbu Kefas commitment to the masses welfare.

The chairman thanked Mrs. Agyi Kefas who said had visited Ardo-Kola council for over three times to support the people of the area.
