Why we made LG Vice women – Adamawa Governor Fintiri

Governor Fintiri of Adamawa State

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has given reasons for ensuring that all the Vice Chairmen of the 21 local government areas in the state should be women.

He said this is so as to unlock the potential of the girl-child for better.

Fintiri said, “together, we can unlock the potential of the girl child and create a better world for all” and also pledged to continue supporting initiatives that promote girls’ education and empowerment.”

Represented Fintiri, the Commissioner of Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Umar Garba Pella, made this in Yola Adamawa State capital during the celebration of the World International Day of the Girl Child, in the state.

The Governor said it was on this that him and the People’s Democratic Party in the state deliberately made all 21 local government areas vice chairmen presently women.
