Yobe Governor Mala Buni appointed Grand Patron of NGO

The Executive Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni has been appointed as the Grand Patron of Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative; a Non-Governmental Organisation established in the year 2013 with the Consent of the Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC).

His formal investiture will come up on Thursday 3rd of October, 2024 during the NGO’s 3rd Nigeria Annual Automotive Industry Award at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja area of Lagos State.

This was contained in a statement Saturday by Samuel Oloyede Oriowo, President of the NGO.

The road construction drives of the governor across Yobe State is highly commendable; despite limited resources.

Governor Mala Buni notably has completed several roads in Yobe state, while over 500 kilometers of roads are under construction, aimed at opening up communities and enhancing socio-economic activities.

Residents of the various communities in Yobe State have expressed gratitude to the governor for the construction of access roads in their areas.

He is expected to receive the NGO’s Certificate of Excellence in recognition of his contributions to the development of Nigeria Automotive Industry; while he’s also expected to clinch on behalf of Yobe State Government, top-grade Award of Excellence in Intra-State Mobility & Transportation and the Award of Most Excellence in Road Safety.

The Awards are in recognition of Yobe State Government’s unique excellence performance in Road Rehabilitation, Construction and Maintenance across the state; leading to smooth intra-state mobility and safety of motorists as well as reduction in road crashes within the state as attested to it by Nigeria Automotive stakeholders in the state.

The Board of Trustees of the Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative hereby gratuitously Congratulates His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni for this lofty office appointment and wish him well in all his private as well as official endeavors.
