Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, had described as false the purported claims in some quarters that Governor Nasir Idris had replaced him with Ibrahim Muhammad Augie for the 2027 polls because he had legal problem with the Court.

He said the unfounded allegations were harmful to both his person and political career, promising to take decisive actions against the malicious elements as well as clear his name in the society so as to leave indelible marks in the sands of political history.

While addressing his massive supporters in Argungu, Tafida recalled that the legal tussle that trialed his political journey was tried and cleared by the Supreme Court thereby nullifying the claims of the opposition parties, stressing that he was baffled to see disgruntled elements trying to ridicule the sanctity of the Apex court by falsifying its judgement.

The Deputy Governor therefore warned that nemesis would soon catch up with enemies of APC who hid under the pretext of party loyalty and planted the seeds of hypocrisy, rancour and sabotage and internally destroyed the party and its developmental legacies.

He said as a democrat he believed in political alignment and realignment for the over all victory of APC at both Federal and state levels, as such he described his replacement a purposeful move in that direction and had accepted the decision in good faith.

Tafida explained that his relationship with Governor Idris had been quite smooth in both official and personal conduct, adding that he would continue to maintain the status quo even after leaving office as a Deputy Governor because of his loyalty to the party.

He therefore urged his supporters to guard their PVCs with care and come out en mass to vote President Tinubu and Governor Idris into office next year besides praying for peace, prosperity and development of Kebbi State in particular and Nigeria at large.
