Senator Lalong condoles with bereaved families in Jos

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, has visited several bereaved families in Jos to offer his condolences and sympathise with them over the loss of their loved ones.

Senator Lalong was at the residence of the late Rt. Hon. Peter Azi, former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, where he condoled with the family and prayed for God to grant them the strength and comfort to bear the loss.

He described the late Azi who served as Speaker during his tenure as Governor as a political ally, passionate development advocate and kind gentleman.
He also visited the residence of the former Commissioner for Works in Plateau State, Hon. Pam Dongs, to commiserate with him and his family over the death of his son, Felix Dongs.

Senator Lalong expressed his sympathy to the family and prayed that God would grant them the fortitude to cope with the painful loss.

The Senator equally visited the family of the late Engr. Thomas Malong to condole with them and share in their grief, assuring the family of his thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Thereafter, Senator Lalong joined the family of the former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. George Daika, at the wake-keep for his mother, the late Mama Monica Daika, aged 102, at COCIN Church, Gold and Base, Jos.

Senator Lalong described Mama Monica Daika as a loving, caring and compassionate woman who lived a long, fruitful and impactful life dedicated to the service of her family, community and humanity.

He said attaining the age of 102 was a testimony to God’s grace and the meaningful life she lived, noting that her values, sacrifices and contributions to the upbringing of her family would continue to inspire those she left behind.

Senator Lalong prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed and asked God to comfort all the bereaved families, strengthen them during their period of mourning and grant them the grace to preserve the legacies of their loved ones.
