Taraba Muslim Ummah appreciates Governor Kefas for supporting Inuwa to represent Nigeria in global Qur’anic recitation competition
The Muslims Community and the family of Abdulmalik Inuwa, Nigeria’s representative at the global Qur’anic recitation competition held in Mecca Saudi Arabia has appreciated the Taraba State Governor Dr Agbu Kefas for supporting and honouring the the Qur’anic giant during and after the completion.
In a statement in Jalingo the State capital, Special Adviser to the Governor on Muslims Religious Matters Alhaji Husssini Isma’il says Governor Kefas demonstrated remarkable commitment by sponsoring Abdulmalik Inuwa throughout his participation in the international competition, supporting him from the beginning of his journey through to the successful completion of the competition.
The statement added that this generous gesture goes beyond financial support but a clear demonstration of the commitments of the Govetnor towards promoting Qur’anic education, nurturing young talents, supporting Islamic activities, and providing opportunities for young people in Taraba State to excel on both national and international platforms.
It further notes that during the competition and the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the Creation of Taraba State on Thursday August 27th, 2026, Dr Kefas further demonstrated his love to the Muslims Community by honouring Abdulmalik Inuwa and celebrating his remarkable achievement in representing Nigeria on the global stage which is a great source of pride to his family, the Muslim Ummah, Taraba State, and Nigeria as a whole.
“We also sincerely commend and appreciates the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho for his valuable efforts and contributions towards the successful participation of Abdulmalik Inuwa in the Qur’anic competition” the statement adds.
The Special Adviser observed that the support and encouragement received from these distinguished leaders have further inspired Abdulmalik and other young people to pursue excellence, uphold their faith, and continue to make Taraba State and Nigeria proud.
“The continued commitment of His Excellency, Governor Agbu Kefas, to supporting Islamic activities, promoting education, and empowering young people reflects his inclusive and people-centred leadership and his determination to build a better and more prosperous Taraba State” he said.
