The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Sami, Gomo III, has renewed his call on religious leaders and followers across faiths to intensify prayers for Allah’s divine intervention over the persistent security challenges in the country.
The Emir made the call on Friday at his palace during the weekly post-Jumu at special prayers for peace, unity, and development.
His Royal Highness stated that special prayers for peace have been a sustained practice in the Zuru Emirate since his assumption of office, adding that the renewed call has become imperative in view of the demonstrated commitment of the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, to overcoming insecurity and fostering sustainable development.
He noted that despite the deployment of resources and the experiences of critical stakeholders by governments at all levels, the security situation has persisted, making it necessary to complement physical efforts with sincere return to Allah (SWT).
“Let us wholeheartedly return to Allah (SWT) through our various religious leaders and followers for Allah’s divine intervention in addition to the efforts being made by our leaders, particularly our own the Comrade Governor “the Emir said.
The Emir further urged the people of the emirate and the state at large to continue to support and pray for Governor Nasir Idris for the success of his administration’s selfless service, anchored on peaceful coexistence and socio-economic well-being of the citizenry.
The special prayer session was led by the Chief Imam of Zuru, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Tanko Liman, the Sarkin Mallaman Zuru, Alhaji Musa Balarabe, and other prominent Islamic scholars in the emirate.
