Imode community celebrates first Catholic priest, Fr. Saba, in thanksgiving mass
The people of Imode community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have celebrated the emergence of their first Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Saba, with a historic thanksgiving Mass.
The celebration brought together members of the community, family members, friends, Catholic faithful and well-wishers who gathered to thank God for the priestly vocation of Fr. Saba.
The thanksgiving Mass was marked by prayers, hymns and expressions of gratitude, as the community celebrated what was described as a significant milestone in its history.
The occasion also provided an opportunity for members of Imode to honour Fr. Saba and acknowledge the significance of his vocation to the Catholic priesthood.
The community expressed gratitude to God for calling one of its sons to serve the Church and prayed for divine grace, wisdom and strength for the newly ordained priest as he continues his ministry.
The historic celebration underscored the importance of priestly vocations and the role of families and communities in nurturing young people committed to religious and spiritual service.
The event ended with celebrations and goodwill messages from members of the community and other guests who congratulated Fr. Saba on his achievement and wished him a fruitful priestly ministry.
