The call follows concerns raised after his name did not appear in the final list of candidates released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday.
“I believe this is just a minor error. It will be corrected,” Prof. Hon told the electorate.
The absence of the governorship candidate’s name on the list threw party members and supporters into confusion.
Twelve names were released by INEC as governorship candidates, covering 12 political parties in Benue State.
