Renew Tinubu, APC Mandate for More Prosperity — Governor Radda charges citizens at Funtua flag-off
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Wednesday charged the people of Funtua Zone and Katsina State at large to renew the mandates of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC in 2027 for more prosperity, as he flagged off the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 campaign in Funtua before a mammoth crowd
Governor Radda said the flag-off is beyond politics. According to him, it is an opportunity to present his stewardship under the Building Your Future Agenda, listen to the people and renew commitment to a more secure, prosperous and inclusive Katsina State.
The Governor stated that his administration has placed security at the centre of governance, working closely with security agencies, traditional institutions and the Federal Government to restore lasting peace.
Governor Radda declared: “Without peace, economic activities suffer, children cannot go to school, and farmers cannot go to farm. We will sustain the momentum until every resident can go about his lawful business without fear.”
He further highlighted massive investments in road construction, urban renewal and energy solutions, describing Funtua as a strategic commercial hub critical to agricultural trade and job creation.
Governor Radda reaffirmed his commitment to farmers, MSMEs, women and youth through enabling environment for entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and private-sector growth.
He added that his administration is strengthening schools, teachers, primary healthcare and expanding health insurance for vulnerable residents.
The Governor commended President Tinubu for bold reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged that Katsina State will continue to align its policies to complement federal initiatives for greater impact.
Governor Radda charged APC candidates and stakeholders to campaign with humility, discipline and respect for democratic choice, while urging party leaders and grassroots mobilizers across the 34 LGAs and 361 wards to sustain unity, peaceful mobilization and door-to-door engagement.
Earlier, the Director-General of the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign Council, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, thanked Funtua Zone for the impressive turnout. He noted that President Tinubu is repositioning the national economy, while Governor Radda is delivering tangible results at the grassroots. He urged members to strengthen party structures for total victory.
Also speaking, Katsina State APC Chairman, Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, described the flag-off as consolidation of party strength. He presented party flags and banners to candidates contesting 3 senatorial, 15 House of Representatives and 34 State Assembly seats, charging them to prioritize collective interest and effective representation.
The event was attended by Deputy Governor Hon. Faruk Lawal Jobe, former Governors Aminu Bello Masari and Ibrahim Shehu Shema, national and state party leaders, federal and state lawmakers, local government chairmen, candidates, traditional rulers and thousands of party faithfuls from across Funtua Zone.
