Senator Lalong commends Nasarawa at 30, applauds leadership, development milestone
Lalong stated this while participating in activities marking the 30th anniversary of the creation of Nasarawa State in Lafia, the State capital.
The Senator attended a lecture delivered by the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, and Prof. Attahiru Jega as part of the anniversary activities.
He also sponsored and participated in a golf kitty organised to commemorate the anniversary, where he emerged as the Best Gross Winner in the Veterans Category, recording a gross score of 18, 14 and 72.

Lalong further participated in a novelty football match featuring Governor Abdullahi Sule, former Governor Tanko Al-Makura and other senior government officials from Nasarawa and Plateau States.
The former Governor commended successive administrations in Nasarawa State for their contributions to the growth and development of the State, noting that the sacrifices, commitment and foresight of past leaders had helped lay the foundation for the progress being witnessed today.
He congratulated the Government and people of Nasarawa State on the 30th anniversary and expressed optimism that the State would continue to build on its achievements while pursuing greater development and prosperity for its people.
