No fewer than 500 households drawn from the 10 wards of Keffi Local Government Area have benefited from a ₦5 million financial assistance programme initiated by the Keffi Elites Forum, a non-governmental organisation supporting the governorship ambition of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The financial assistance, which attracted a large turnout of beneficiaries, community leaders and political stakeholders, was distributed on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Keffi, with each beneficiary receiving ₦10,000 to cushion the effects of prevailing economic challenges

Speaking at the occasion, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, represented by Hon. Bello Ramalan, expressed appreciation to the Keffi Elites Forum for its commitment to supporting vulnerable households and promoting community development.

He urged the people of Keffi and Nasarawa State at large to support his governorship ambition in the 2027 elections, alongside other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), beginning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates contesting for seats in the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly.

Wadada assured the people that, if elected governor, his administration would provide a level playing field for all zones and communities in the state, with particular emphasis on infrastructural development, employment generation, economic growth, social advancement and political inclusion.

He also called on Nigerians to approach the forthcoming elections with seriousness and a sense of responsibility, stressing the need to elect credible leaders capable of delivering democratic dividends to the people.

According to him, the 2027 elections present an opportunity for the electorate to make informed choices and support leaders with clear development agendas for the state and the country.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Mallam Isa Modibo, represented by Professor Abdullahi Salau Modibo, called on the people of Keffi to come out en masse to vote for Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu as the next governor of Nasarawa State after the administration of Engineer Abdullahi Sule.

Taking a historical perspective, Mallam Modibo noted that since the administration of former Governor Senator Abdullahi Adamu, more than two decades ago, it was only fair for the Keffi zone to produce another governor, describing Senator Wadada Aliyu as a suitable candidate to occupy the position.

The APC Chairman in Keffi Local Government Area, Alhaji Lawal Idris, commended members of the Keffi Elites Forum for the initiative, describing the presentation of ₦10,000 to each beneficiary as a commendable gesture capable of making a meaningful difference in the lives of the recipients.

He urged the beneficiaries to utilise the financial assistance judiciously to improve their household welfare and support their families.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Keffi Elites Forum, Alhaji Lawal Maizabo, said the financial assistance programme was part of the organisation’s commitment to supporting families while also advancing Senator Wadada Aliyu’s governorship ambition ahead of the 2027 elections.

Maizabo urged the people of Nasarawa State to support Wadada, whom he described as a candidate with a comprehensive manifesto capable of delivering the much-needed democratic dividends to the state.

He explained that the forum would continue to engage communities and mobilise support for the senator, while promoting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people.

Speaking with journalists, some Keffi stakeholders, including Dr. Yakubu Salisu, Alhaji Gambo and Mrs. Mata Adamu, applauded the organisers for the initiative, describing it as timely and beneficial to the beneficiaries.

They pledged to mobilise their respective communities to support the candidature of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu in the 2027 governorship election.

The ₦5 million intervention, which covered 500 households across the 10 wards of Keffi, was widely described by participants as a significant gesture of compassion and community support, particularly at a time when many families are grappling with economic difficulties.

The initiative also underscored the growing involvement of community-based organisations in grassroots mobilisation and political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
