The honour was bestowed on her during the Institute’s 2026 Fellowship Investiture held at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos

The ceremony, which had the theme, “Bank Recapitalisation: Leveraging New Bank Capital for Nigeria’s Industrial Transformation,” brought together prominent figures from the banking, business and public sectors to discuss the role of a stronger financial system in promoting industrial development and economic growth.

Speaking after receiving the recognition, Chukwudozie expressed appreciation to the Institute for the honour, reaffirming her commitment to service and institutional development.

She also pledged to continue contributing to economic growth through her leadership roles in the banking, manufacturing and enterprise sectors.

The recognition comes as Keystone Bank continues to record progress in its institutional transformation. According to the report, the bank has strengthened its liquidity position, expanded its deposit base and increased its customer network under the oversight of its Board and Management.

It has also enhanced its corporate governance framework, internal controls, accountability and risk management systems, while investing in technology to improve digital banking services and customer experience.

The bank noted that these achievements were made possible through the collective efforts of its Board, Management and staff, as well as the continued confidence of its customers.

At the event, CIBN President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Dele Alabi, urged banks to channel their increased capital strength towards supporting productive businesses, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stressed the need for accessible and affordable long-term financing to support industrial expansion and business growth, while maintaining sound governance and responsible lending practices.

In his keynote address, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Dr. Tayo Aduloju, called for increased financing of manufacturing and other productive sectors. He also emphasised the importance of stronger collaboration among financial institutions, government and regulatory agencies to overcome challenges limiting industrial investment.

Other distinguished recipients of honours at the ceremony included Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, Chairman of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority; Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria; and Chief Folorunsho Alakija, Vice Chairman of Famfa Oil Limited.

Also recognised were Dr. Ibrahim Stevens, Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone; Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Secretary to the Ogun State Government; and Mr. Samuel Egube, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor.

Chukwudozie, who also serves as Group Managing Director of Dozzy Group and Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), South-East Branch, is recognised for her involvement in both the financial and industrial sectors.

Her recognition underscores the importance of purposeful leadership, strong institutions and effective collaboration between the banking and manufacturing sectors in driving enterprise development, investment and broader economic opportunities.
