Former Governor of Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Simon Bako Lalong, has congratulated former Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Ambassador Fidelis N. Tapgun, CON, KSGG, KSM, on the occasion of his 85th birthday
Senator Lalong described Ambassador Tapgun as a mentor and accomplished statesman whose life of excellence, integrity, patriotism and compassion has made enduring contributions to Gamailand, Shendam Local Government Area, Plateau State and Nigeria
He noted that Ambassador Tapgun’s distinguished public service career, which includes serving as Governor of Plateau State, Minister and Ambassador among others, reflects his dedication to nation-building and his commitment to the welfare of the people.
Lalong said the elder statesman has continued to inspire generations of leaders through his courage, wisdom and exemplary conduct, particularly his commitment to unity, justice, peaceful coexistence and national development.
The Senator also commended Ambassador Tapgun’s humility, goodwill and unwavering devotion to the Christian faith, describing him as a man whose values and principles have continued to earn him respect across different generations.
He expressed confidence that the wealth of experience and wisdom accumulated by the former Governor would continue to serve as a source of guidance to younger leaders and those committed to the progress of Plateau State and Nigeria.
