By El-Yakub Dabai, Birnin Kebbi
The Special Adviser on Infrastructural Development to Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State, Abubakar Gari Malam, has described the State Chief Executive as a leader sent to emancipate the people from the shackles of underdevelopment that hitherto degraded the state.
The politician, while speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, said it was worthy of mention that all the projects from roads, schools, hospitals, ultramodern Secretariat and motor park awarded by Governor Idris were professionally executed and completed on time, cementing his leadership qualities amongst league of successful politicians.
He said such gesture was never winessed in the state since its creation 33 years a go, stressing that the recent influx of investors from Indonesia and Brazil to set up beef and diery industries to open the state for international business was another remarkable achievement of the Governor recorded in less than two years in office.
The Special Adviser noted that the recent presidential flagg off for the construction of the Kebbi 258 kilometre section of the Sokoto-Badagry Super highway in the state was a clear testimony that the Governor was interested in the socioeconomic growth of his people as the project would boost their business activities.
Speaking on the abandoned Dabai-Mahuta-Koko road, the Special Adviser explained that the 89-kilometer road, awarded to Great Northern International Company on December 5th, 2021, had seen only five kilometers completed and In response, the Kebbi State Government, had demanded that the project be revoked and handed over to it for timely completion.
Malam noted that the Governor had extended his infrastructural development drive to Kebbi State property located in Kaduna, where he inspected the dilapidated and illegally occupied structures and ordered for immediate renovations and eviction of the unauthorized squatters to further showcase the good image of the state to the nation.
Malam who is Chairman of Special Advisers Forum as well as the traditional title of Shatiman Gwandu said with the myriad of developmental achievements across the nooks and crannies of the State, the only way people would show allegiance to Governor Idris-led Administration was to shower total support to the government.
The Special Adviser therefore urged the people to drop all political and religious affiliations and join hands with Governor Idris by supporting his policies and programmes of driving the state to the peak of developments during his eight years in office.
