Senator Uche Ekwunife has felicitated with youths in Anambra State and across the world as they mark the 2026 International Youth Day.
The 2026 celebration is themed “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” highlighting the shared hopes and aspirations of young people despite differences in their backgrounds and circumstances.
In her message, Ekwunife said the theme underscores the universal desire of youths for dignity, quality education, decent employment and a better future.
She described young people as critical partners in national and global development, stressing the need for increased investment in education, skills acquisition, technology, entrepreneurship and other opportunities that would enable them to maximise their potential.
The senator urged governments and other stakeholders to create an enabling environment where young people can develop their talents, pursue their ambitions and make meaningful contributions to society.
Ekwunife wished youths a rewarding celebration and a future filled with greater opportunities.
“Happy International Youth Day to our resilient, talented and promising youths. May your aspirations find expression and fulfilment,” she said.
