2027: Adamawa governorship candidates sign peace accord
Governorship candidates in Adamawa State have signed a peace accord for peaceful issue-based campaigns ahead of the February 2027 election.
The accord was agreed and signed at the Banquet Hall of the Adamawa State Government House, Yola.
The accord was signed under the theme, “Peace Before, During and After the Elections.”
Candidates pledged to reject electoral violence, hate speech, ethnic and religious incitements, intimidation, threats, misinformation, disinformation and personal attacks throughout the electoral process in the state.
They also committed to conducting issue-based campaigns centred on their policies, programmes and visions for the development of Adamawa State.
Most of the political parties were in attendance and signed the peace accord.
