Gombe FRSC observes 2026 SERVICOM Week 5 October, reminds commuters of right to quality service

Gombe State Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), is set to commence the 2026 edition of annual Customer Service Week, SERVICOM week, an annual events carried out across FRSC formations in Nigeria reminding its customers and stakeholders of their rights to satisfactory service.

The SERVICOM was established in 2004 to promote effective and efficient service delivery and to ensure the rights of citizens to quality services anywhere such is done in government agencies.

The Gombe State Sector Commander, CC Samson Kaura, through the Commands Public Relations Officer, Janet Kassa, in a release made available to Journalists on Sunday, stated that the Command is not left out in celebrating the week which will start on Monday 5th through 9th October, 2026.

The 2026 week is tagged: “The Extra Mile” making every road user count in line with the Federal Government’s renewed commitment to improved public service delivery under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The long week activity is dedicated to recognizing the importance of quality service delivery, appreciate personnel for their commitments, promoting a culture of professionalism, improve courtesy responsiveness and customer satisfaction.

The celebration will provide an avenue for the Command to engage with its stakeholders and customers to strengthen relationship and reinforce the importance of service delivery in achieving the objectives of the Corps.

The Command therefore called on all the people of Gombe State to remember that they have a right to quality and satisfactory service and a channel for redress is always open when service fails followed by a constructive feedback for improved service delivery.

To ensure a successful celebration of the week, the Command has lined up activities for the week which including, Media Chat/ press conference, Sensitisation campaigns and road shows, Stakeholders/town hall meetings, Medical outreach and Recognition of outstanding performance/commendation presentations.

The FRSC further urged the people of Gombe state to take advantage of the week to engage with the Command and demand answers for wrong or failed services.

In conclusion, the Sector Commander encouraged all road users to be law abiding, to remember the twin approach to the daily use of the road and to collaborate with the FRSC patrol operatives while on the road.

He concluded, “Always remember to use your seat belt and drive within the stipulated speed limit.”
