Four Kogi Table Tennis stars make Nigeria’s squad for African Youth Championship
Four young and talented table tennis players from Kogi State have been selected to represent Nigeria at the forthcoming 2026 African Youth Championship in Accra, Ghana.
The Kogi quartet comprises Joseph Victor, Sezuo Ize, Samson Joshua, and Joseph Marvelous, all of whom impressed during the national camping exercise at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State.

Two other Kogi players who were initially invited to the national camp but did not make the final squad for the championship are Friday Agnes and Joseph Dominion.
Also named in Nigeria’s technical crew is veteran table tennis tactician Coach Friday Abah, the Technical Director of the Kogi State Table Tennis Association.
Renowned for his tactical brilliance and player development, Coach Abah is expected to bring his vast experience to bear as Nigeria seeks success at the continental championship.
With a blend of youthful talent and experienced technical guidance, Team Nigeria will be aiming to make a strong statement and rewrite history at the African Youth Championship in Accra, Ghana.
