Arafat emerges Uke/Karshi constituency flagbearer in Nasarawa PDP assembly primaries

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Uke/ Karshi State Constituency of Nasarawa State has returned Honourable Nasiru Ibrahim Arafat as their candidate ahead of the 2023 election.
Arafat was elected on consensus after two of the contestant step down from the race nearly few hours to the commencement of the election.
Briefing newsmen, Honourable Samuel Dogara Dunjuma, chairman elders forum in Karshi Development Area, said the history and tradition of politics since 1999 in Uke/Karshi Development Area has repeated itself.
He said “To the glory of God before this morning we were having Three aspirants who were qualified for the primary election into the state assembly.
“And based on the maturity of the elders forum, supported by our ward chairmen, we sat and talked to our aspirant, who until this morning, two of the aspirants informed us that they have decided to step down for Nasiru Arafat to be the flag bearer of the PDP for the state assembly election,” he said.
On his part, Arafat the PDP flag bearer, while appreciating the decision of his co-contestants who stepdown for him, promises to work with them in order to deliver the party come 2023.
Arafat who hails from Uke ward of Karshi development area, added that by the grace of God he would not only work for the success of the PDP alone but will return to Uke/Karshi the lost glory.
“If you look at what has befallen my constituency in the past under the administration of the APC, is that there is total insanity in the system, environmentally there is also pollution and economically my people have been poverished. But insha Allah, I will not make much promises but will restore to my people their dignity,” he said.
