Bauchi Governor receives newly deployed FRSC Sector Commander, assures of continues support, cooperation

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed received the newly deployed 29th Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bauchi State Command, Corps Commander C. S. Luka, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Bauchi on Thursday.

Leading a delegation of senior officers of the Corps, the Sector Commander said the visit was to formally introduce himself to the Governor following his recent deployment to Bauchi State and to familiarize himself with the state government, in keeping with the tradition of the FRSC whenever a new commander assumes duty.

Corps Commander Luka expressed appreciation for the peaceful and secured environment in Bauchi State, noting that the prevailing security has significantly enhanced the effectiveness of the Corps in carrying out its responsibilities.

He commended the impressive road infrastructure across the state, describing it as a major contributor to safer and more efficient transportation.

He praised the remarkable developmental strides recorded under Governor Mohammed’s administration and reaffirmed the FRSC’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Bauchi State Government to promote road safety, reduce accidents, and ensure the protection of lives and property.

In his remarks, Governor Mohammed congratulated him on his appointment and assured him of his administration’s continued support and cooperation with the Federal Road Safety Corps in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.

Governor Mohammed emphasized that road safety remains a shared responsibility and reiterated his government’s commitment to sustaining investments in road infrastructure while working closely with relevant agencies to ensure safer roads and a secured environment for all residents and road users in the state.
