Bauchi police parade 11 suspects

The Bauchi Police Command have paraded 11 persons suspected to a gang vandalizing communications gadgets within and neighbouring states.
The suspects include Fidelis Ewona (Gang leader), Mohammed Mallam Yusuf (Engineer), Abdullahi Adamu(Kofar Ran, driver), Ibrahim Garba (Muda Lawal Market, driver).
Others are Albanians Dan Gombe(Muda Lawal Market),Yusuf Ahmed (Muda Lawal Market), Lawan Ahmed (Muda Lawal Market) and Mohammed Yusuf Yellow (Muda Lawal Market and a driver).  Also arrested are Okasha Umar, Yankari Workshop, driver) and Mohammed Zakaria, (Mudal Lawal Market).
Parading the suspects at the Bauchi Police Command headquarters, a Deputy Superintendent of Police and the Command’s spokesperson, Kamal Datti Abubakar, said the suspects were arrested on January 16, 2019, in possession of two (2) GBW10 KVA power generators.
He added that the vandals were arrested at the site of National Public Security Communication System (NPSCS) project in Alkaleri Local Government Area along Gombe road.
According to him, the suspects are on the wanted list of the Command in connection with the vandalization and theft in some telecommunication sites,belonging to the government and private companies in Bauchi,Gombe,and Yobe  states”.
Arrested along with the 11 suspects were “a crane loaded with exhibits with registration number XM 202 LSR, a J5 truck with registration number BAU548 XA.”
The suspects, who are said to have confessed voluntarily to the crimes, are being investigated and will be charged to court soon.
