Christain Association of Nigeria in Bauchi holds prayer rally, seeks divine intervention to conquer insecurity

The Christain Association of Nigeria (CAN) Bauchi State branch on Saturday orgased a prayer rally to seek God’s intervention on the spate of insecurity and other challenges creeping into the state.

Guest Speaker at the rally, Reverend Ezekiel Dachumo admonished Christians not to take for granted the power of prayer which is capable of turning around whatever situation the state and Nation is facing currently.

He said that now is a time to forgive, support one another, speak against evil in the society as well as pray and live a life that will not threaten our coorperate existence as a people.

In his address, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Christian Matters, Pastor Zakka Magaji said providing peace and security to the people of the state has always been prioritised in the agenda of Governor Bala Mohammed.

While urging the Christian community not to relent in praying for him, he urged them to be mindful of what is going around and always be ambassadors of peace as reflected in the life of Jesus Christ.

“Anything that will provoke or cause chaos and discomfort to others, lets try as much as possible to avoid such things, and continue to preach peace so that the people will see the light in us that will attract sales them to God we are serving”, he said.

Earlier, in his welcome address, the State Chairman Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend Abraham Damina Dimeus called on all Christians in Bauchi to imbibe the Culture of peaceful coexistence.

He added that the Governor of Bauchi State as well as the Emir are both peace makers, hence their efforts should be complimented even at a time like this where the nation is confronted with many challenges.
