
Christian pilgrims arrive Jordan for onward flight to Nigeria

The ninth batch of Christian pilgrims have returned to Jordan from Israel Friday morning in readiness to return to Nigeria on Saturday.
Before moving into Amman, the capital city pilgrims stopped over at Mar Ilyas, located near Ajloun, in northern Jordan, believed to be the birthplace of the Prophet Elijah, a significant figure in Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.
The pilgrims mainly from Nasarawa State, smoothly moved into Jordan from the Jordan Valley border clearing immigration checks.
The pilgrims are expected to proceed to the Queen Alia International Airport, Amman Saturday morning for onward flight to Abuja and then to Lagos.
