Fayemi wins Ekiti governorship election

Dr Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared winner of the Ekiti State Governship election.
He got 197,459 votes while his closest opponent, Olusola Eleka of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 178,121 votes.
Fayemi won in 12 local governments while Eleka won in four.
INEC’s Chief Returning Officer for the polls, Professor.Abel Idowu Olayinka, who is also the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, said he was satisfied with the conduct of the election.
