Gallant: Anambra officer reportedly behind coordination of Oyo pupils, teachers rescue

Major General Chinedu Ralph Nnebeife, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Ibadan, has been credited with coordinating the operation that led to the rescue of 44 school pupils and their teachers who were abducted in Oyo State.

The 2 Division oversees approximately nine brigades across its area of responsibility. According to the account shared by the author, Major General Nnebeife played a central role in coordinating the rescue effort, which resulted in the safe recovery of the victims.

A native of Umuogbu Village in Awka, Anambra State, Major General Nnebeife has built a military career marked by a series of operational and leadership appointments. His progression to the rank of Major General reflects years of service and experience within the Nigerian Army.

The report also states that, earlier in his career, he participated in and led operations that secured the rescue of kidnapping victims in Kwara State, further highlighting his experience in security operations.

Supporters have commended his leadership and dedication to duty, offering prayers for continued wisdom, protection, and success as he carries out his constitutional responsibilities and advances in his military career.
