Kebbi: Governor Idris signs revised 2025 Appropriation Bill of N43bn into law

The Revised 2025 Appropriation Bill of N43 billion, has been signed into Law by Governor Nasir Idris, immediately after passage by the House of Assembly.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, presented the bill for assent in company of other members of the Assembly at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, on Thursday.
In addition, the Legislature presented the adopted Medium Term Expenditure Framework, (MTWF) and the Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) for 2026 – 2028.
Furthermore, the Speaker forwarded the House Resolution requesting the state government to rename the Government Day Secondary School, Tondi Tsamiya, to Sarki Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi Day School, (Emir of Yauri).
The Speaker affirmed the commitment of the Assembly to carry out its legislative duties in cooperation with the Executive Arm towards making Kebbi great.
In response after assenting the revised appropriation bill, Gov. Nasir Idris thanked the entire members for being alive to their responsibilities and cooperating with the Executive Arm in the development of the state.
“Rt. Hon. Speaker, you have demonstrated that you are the Kebbi People’s House, in tandem with my administration which is the people’s government. There has not been a single disagreement between the two arms of government since assumption of power”, he said
The Governor stressed that: “Both arms believe in uplifting the wellbeing of Kebbi people, the House has always ratified whatever request presented to it by the State Government, the Legislature has never disappointed us.”
The State Chief Executive pointed out that his administration would continue to carry the House of Assembly along in the day to day affairs of governance.
