Kebbi Governor’s wife, Nafisa enjoins women to be prayerful, supportive for a better nation

The wife of Kebbi Governor, Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris has enjoined women to use the holy month of Ramadan to remain prayerful for the sustenance of peace and progress of Kebbi State and Nigeria in general as the country passes through trying times.
The wife of the Governor made the call at the Kebbi Women Ramadan Lecture and the empowerment of 500 women at her instance held on Monday at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Birnin Kebbi, imploring them to instill morality and good values in their children in other to raise a supportive family for nation building.
“Women are good home trainers, we therefore need to closely monitor our children and give them sound training”, she urged.

She further stressed that sustained prayers were needed in this month of Ramadan to continue to propel the developmental strides already achieved by the Kauran Gwandu- led administration in the state.
Hajiya Nafisa thanked the Islamic scholars who delivered papers at the lecture, saying that she and her husband were open to meaningful pieces of advice from the public to facilitate good governance.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Halima Hassan Kamba in her welcome address, commended the wife of the Governor for organising the Ramadan lecture and providing empowerment to women in the state.
The Commissioner expressed gratitude to the Islamic scholars for their insightful presentations to educate women on various topics in the month of Ramadan.
Islamic scholars who delivered papers on the occasion include Malama Juwairiyya Bintu Usman, Shiekh Aminu Hassan, Malama Zainab Shiekh Jafa’ar Mahmud Adam and Malama Hauwa’u Abubakar who dwelt on ethical values and benefits of Ramadan Fasting in Islam.
