The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasarawa State Chapter has warned the state chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Francis Orogu to tread with caution in playing opposition politics in the state or ready to face the wrath of law.
This is contained in a statement by APC Publicity Secretary, Otaru Douglas and made available to newsmen on Monday in Lafia.
According to him, the warning become necessary given frivolous
allegations bothering on the security situation, infrastructural development in Nasarawa state and Gov Sule’s visit to Wike, credited to the chairman of the PDP in the state.
Douglas said it was apparent that the said statement was a calculated attempt to cause security infractions within the state, adjudged by many Nigerians as one the most peaceful states in the country.
“It is most unfortunate, but not surprising that such a distasteful and unacceptable statement is coming from an accidental opposition leader whose political party’s main agenda is to cause disharmony within the country in general, Nasarawa state in particular.
“While we take exception to their desperation and unpatriotic antics in their inordinate quest to gain control of Government machinery, we wish to sound a note of caution to Hon. Orogu and his type to desist from playing such a dangerous game of politics,” he said.
On the gov Sule visit to the FCT Minister, Barr.Nyesom Wike, he said it was unfortunate that the PDP and its leadership have failed to acknowledge a well thought out collaborative visit to the FCT Minister, which aimed at enhancing development.
He said the gov Sule’s visit was to strengthen and sustain the security achievements recorded by the APC led administration in Nasarawa State.
“It is shameful for Orogu to misconstrued the visit of an APC Governor to a Minister serving under the APC led Federal Government as trespass and even have the effrontery to drag Mr. President into their shenanigans,” he.
Douglas said the APC as it stands did not need the interference of the Presidency to win its case at the Tribunal, noting that It just a matter of time the PDP should prepare to accept defeat again at the tribunal.
On infrastructural development, he said it was rather shameful and laughable that the same people who now enjoy the massive infrastructural turnaround bequeathed by the APC led administration could allege non-performance.
“His versatile managerial experiences is what he has brought to bear in reengineering the social, economic and political defects, as well as infrastructural deficit occasioned by the PDP wasted years in the governance of Nasarawa State.
“On the activities of terrorists in the state as alleged by Orogu, it is obvious that Orogu and his co-travelers are complicit and we are well aware of their plans to stir a breakdown of law and order in the state, as evident in their actions prior to the General Elections.
“We wish to warn against the immodest political behavior of the PDP, it should not over stretch our patience, we however, urge the security agencies to deal decisively with anyone or group who undermine the authority of the state,” he said.
