Nigeria would evolve into land of abundace- Kebbi Special Adviser

The Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor on Due Process, Surajo Garba Bagudu, says in spite of the ups and downs of Nigeria, the country has witnessed some developments worthy of appreciation because there would be light at the end of the tunnel.

Addressing newsmen in his office in Birnin Kebbi he stressed that Governance has been taken to the grassroots with the creation of states and local governments compared to the era of regional system were access to the seats of power was quite cumbersome.

He also noted that in the past parents don’t send their wards to schools where some classes were being ran in the shades of trees, saying the current population boom of children studying in various levels of educational institutions with the modern teaching and learning equipment, had shaped the technological transformation going on in the country.

The Special Adviser said the current transportation drive in the country where the Coastal road network and the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway were undergoing modern constructions side by side rail lines was deliberate measure to ensure the movement of goods and services from the coast to the hinterland and vice vasa for export to efficiently boost the country’s economy.

Talking about Kebbi State, Bagudo said the developments witnessed within the short period of Governor Nasir Idris Administration was unprecedented because he was able to put in place projects that ordinarily would have taken more than four years to be executed in spite of competing demands.

He said not only had the governor chose quality projects that would stand the taste of time over shabby ones, he had never interfered into functions of his office, urging them to strictly comply with the rules of due process while dealing with contractors in order to put in place projects and services that would impart positively on the lives of the people.

The Special Adviser reminded the People of Kebbi State to always treat Governor Idris as God sent leader who came to pull them out of the under developments of the past to higher heights and should reciprocate the kind gesture by being loyal to the government at all times.
