Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke Monday joined other Muslim faithful at Ede Muslim prayer ground for the Eid prayers marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, praying Allah to guide the state right ahead of the July elections.
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) prayed alongside His Royal Highness, the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal and other notable Muslim scholars and adherents in the town before accompanying the traditional ruler to the palace for Eid to the palace for courtesy visit.

This was contained in a statement by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, for Media and Publicity Committee of Senator Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organisation,(SAACO) to Apex News Exclusive.

After the palace visitation, Senator Adeleke hosted friends, families and associates at his residence, describing the 2022 celebration as a landmark one because of its closeness to the state elections.
According to him, “we all pray to Almighty Allah to guide the state right as we head to elections. We pray for divine interventions to ensure hitch free elections. This is very important as we can not afford a repeat of the violence and thuggery that marred the 2018 exercise.
“We pray to Almighty Allah to touch the hearts of all relevant stakeholders so that we can have a peaceful poll. One major lesson all must learn from the just concluded Ramadan is that only God enthrones a leader. We must all submit to the will of Allah as expressed through the votes of the people.
“The second lesson is the spirit of forgiveness. As we prayed for Allah’s forgiveness, so we must be ready to forgive those who offended us. This is particularly true for those of us in the political process. As we are seeking power to serve the people, let’s not regard each other as enemies. We are brothers, sisters. We must forgive and forget as we remain committed to the wellbeing of our people”, Senator Adeleke noted.
