Management of Radio Benue, Makurdi is to strengthen its partnership with an NGO, 24hours Road Accident Victims Support Initiative, (TRAVSI), for effective sensitisation of road users on the need to respect safety codes to minimise accidents.
Director General of the corporation, Dr. Charles Iornumbe who stated this when he played host to Management of TRAVSI in his office, described the CEO of the NGO, Gadafi Asemanya as a workaholic who has impacted on communities in the state through his organization.
Dr Iornumbe assured that as part of it’s cooperate social responsibility, the station would continue to give TRAVSI the needed support to achieve it’s set goal.
Earlier the CEO TRAVSI, Mr Asemanya said the visit was to congratulate the DG on his appointment and solicit partnership with the station towards educating road users to reduce accident.
Mr Asemanya advised people driving through and within the state to be vigilant and Obey all traffic codes as Easter draw closer to minimise road crashes before and after.
High point was the presentation of variety of books on mass media in Nigeria, defense, economy, security and development in Nigeria, exam malpractice and corruption in Nigeria as well as TRAVSI apron and diaries.
