Gombe state Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya breaks Ramadan fast with members of the State House of Assembly

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship and understanding existing between the executive and legislative arms of government in Gombe State.
The Governor made this known when he hosted members of Gombe State House of Assembly to a breaking of Ramadan fast at the Government House, Wednesday evening.
He noted that the good understanding between the two arms is what paved the way for his administration to record enormous successes within short period.
“The projects we are executing across the length and breath of Gombe State are all ours; they are for our people; the people you are representing.
“Compared to other states, Gombe has achieved a lot, the development that was made possible by the cordial relationship and good understanding between the legislature and the executive arms”, he added.
Governor Inuwa reiterated his government’s commitment to continue working for the interest of the masses. “We will continue to work tirelessly towards fulfilling our campaign promises to the people”, he said, assuring the law makers of his unflinching support at all times.
He appealed to all citizens to embrace forgiveness for the sake of peace, unity and progress of Nigeria considering the difficult times the country is passing through.
“Nigeria is facing difficult times in its history with myriads of problems, the kind of which are unprecedented in the country’s history”, he remarked.
The governor therefore, called for fervent prayers from all well-meaning citizens of the country to overcome the challenges especially during this blessed month of Ramadan.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, the Speaker, Gombe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo thanked Governor Inuwa Yahaya for the invitation, describing it as a special honour accorded them.
The Speaker extolled Governor Inuwa’s masses-oriented leadership, adding that they are lucky to work with such a workaholic Governor whose zeal always centere around how best life of a common man will be improved.
“All of us are witnesses of very huge investment Governor Inuwa is making in our respective constituencies to improve the life of a common man”, he said.
The Speaker maintained that all the law makers have moral necessity binding on them to support the Governor as he continues to provide dividends of democracy in both rural and urban areas of the state.
Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi and Chief of Staff, Abubakar Inuwa Kari were also in attendance during the Iftar dinner where special prayers were offered for the peace, security and prosperity of Gombe State and Nigeria.
The Iftar is aimed at fostering more unity and understanding among the leaders of the state as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, (Press Affairs), Government House, Gombe.
