Taraba Governor wants Nigeria government to provide more weapons to security agencies

Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku has appealed to the Federal Government to provide more man power and weapons for security operatives to effectively tackle insecurity facing the nation.

The Governor made the appeal during the breaking of fast with Muslim faithful at the Government House, Jalingo.

He said it is the responsibility of Government to protect the lives and property of the citizens as enshrined in the Constitution and wondered why Nigerians are being killed without solution.

Governor Darius Ishaku again maintained that it is the People’s Democratic Party that have leaders with the capacity to salvage the woes bedeviling the nation hence the need for Tarabans to vote massively for PDP candidates in the twenty twenty three general elections.

The Governor promised to complete all ongoing projects in the State before the end of his tenure.

He congratulated all Muslim ummah who are on fasting and urged Tarabans to pray for a God fearing leader that will take over from him.

Commenting,Spokes person of the Muslim community who is the Chief Imam Government House Mosque Sa’adanu Lawal Bantaje commended Governor Darius Ishaku for his peace effort in the State.

He advised Tarabans to tolerate one another since Governor Darius Ishaku has given everybody the platform to operate in the State.

On his part, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria Taraba State Chapter Isaiah Magaji Jirapye who was represented by his Vice Bishop Isa’ac Philip tasked Tarabans to always report Suspicious persons in their midst in view of recent bomb blast.

The Chairman thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for completing some projects in the State expressing confidence that other projects will be completed mostly the dual carriage road from Jauro Yinu to Pantinapo which has fly over and pedestal bridges before the end of his tenure.
