The Lead Pastor, The Transformation Church, (TTC), Rev. (Dr.) Sam Oye says Nigeria needs spiritual upliftment and God’s intervention for physical growth.
He said as faith-based body, it needs to pray for the country and its leaders rather than castigate and condemn them.
Rev. Oye spoke to newsmen in Abuja Wednesday ahead of its annual programme tagged “The Encounter ’24, A global worship experience” scheduled for Friday, November 1, 2024. It’s the 10th in the series.
According to him, the programme will provide a rallying point where ethnicity, politics and class differences are set-aside with people bonding in the presence of God.
He explained that the programme is an avenue where all shall first recourse to God, hold hands and unburden without looking up to Government or ourselves for solutions.
Rev. Oye pointed out that the crisis in Nigeria needs God’s intervention and when that is done, there will be life-changing moments for ourselves.
The chairman of the organizing committee of this year’s Encounter, Pastor Emmanuel Isaiah said presently, Nigeria needs direction and believed in the power of God’s mercy.
He spoke of security measures for the success of the programme saying they have liaised with various security agencies on that.
