NCPC felicitates Sultan Sa’ad on 70th birthday

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, on behalf of the Board, Management and Staff of the Commission, has joined millions of Nigerians and friends of Nigeria across the world to felicitate with His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, on the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.

In a congratulatory message, Bishop Adegbite described the milestone as a Platinum Jubilee worthy of celebration and thanksgiving to God Almighty.

He noted that the Sultan’s 70 years on earth have been dedicated to the service of humanity, nation building, and the promotion of enduring peace, unity, stability and development of Nigeria.

“Your Eminence has remained a shining example of bridge-building and tolerance. As Co-Chairman of the Nigerian Inter-Religious Council, NIREC, you have provided exemplary leadership for inter-faith harmony among adherents of different religious faiths in Nigeria,” the NCPC Boss stated.

Bishop Adegbite further described the Sultan as a rare gem, a detribalized Nigerian and a global advocate of peace who has continually preached love of country and the unity of the entity called Nigeria.

“As you join the league of Septuagenarians, it is our prayer that the Good Lord will continue to uphold you and grant you the grace of longevity in good health of mind and body to serve your people and the nation even more,” he prayed.

The NCPC helmsman commended His Eminence for his firm belief in the stability and unity of Nigeria and wished him many more years of impactful service.
