The Renewed Hope Project 2026 has organised a rountable meeting and inaugurated its team members as part of its nationwide grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration ceremony which held during the weekend at Newchoice Hotel Kafanchan Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, attracted party stakeholders, youth leaders, women mobilizers, community representatives and supporters of the All Progressives Congress from across the eight local government areas of Kaduna South Senatorial District.
In his address during the ceremony Inauguration the deputy governorship candidate of the ruling party APC Comrade Jerry Adams said the inauguration signaled the readiness of the party to deepen engagement with the grassroots in Southern Kaduna.
Jerry Adams mandated the newly inaugurated team to carry out extensive sensitization across all wards and polling units on the interventions and reforms being implemented by the federal government.
He highlighted key achievement in Southern Kaduna and that the region has been a beneficiary of several federal initiatives under the current administration, including the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia and the Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan, as well as other developmental projects in the area.
Comrade Jerry Adams charged the team officials to see their appointment as a responsibility to organise and mobilise at the grassroots and to work in close synergy with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in the state to ensure electoral success in 2027.
Addressing the gathering, the Defence Minister, General Christopher Musa, said the Renewed Hope Agenda requires a secure and stable environment to achieve its objectives.
He said the federal government remains committed to strengthening security operations across the country, including Southern Kaduna and the wider North-West.
Represented by Ambassador Polycarp Gankon, the Minister added that the administration is also prioritising youth empowerment through programmes focused on skills acquisition, digital literacy, technical and vocational education, Compressed Natural Gas transition, and other employment focused initiatives.
While urging youths in the zone to take advantage of the opportunities the Minister also admonished them to participate actively in national development.
Earlier, the Executive director and Convener of the Renewed Hope Project 27, Mr. Lucky Ezra Mamman said the inauguration was aimed at building a formidable grassroots network capable of taking the message of the administration to every household.
He added that the structure being inaugurated includes a State Executive Council, local government coordinators for the eight local government areas of Southern Kaduna, ward coordinators, polling unit canvassers.
Mr Lucky said the officials have been tasked with conducting ward to ward and house to house engagement to explain government policies and to counter misinformation, while mobilising eligible voters ahead of the 2027 elections.
Political observers at the event said the inauguration represents an early start to political mobilisation in Kaduna State, with less than 4 months to the next general elections.
They noted that Southern Kaduna, with its large voter population and diverse demographics, remains a critical ground in the politics of Kaduna State, and that the establishment of a dedicated grassroots structure in the zone underscores the strategic calculations of the ruling party.
The event ended with a renewed commitment by stakeholders to sustain unity within the party and to ensure that the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda reaches every polling unit in Southern Kaduna.
