A Jalingo-based slamic scholar Dr. Ibrahim Jalo has called on Tarabans to vote for APC in the 2027 governorship election, openly endorsing Governor Agbu Kefas for a second term

In a statement published in Hausa and English, Dr. Ibrahim Jalo described voting for APC as the best option for Tarabans which said would put the state on the path toward liberation from what he described as more than 20 years of ‘oppression and injustice.’

Dr. Jalo equally urged Tarabans not to vote for PDP or APGA, which are fielding Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha and Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi (Danji SS) respectively and
further advised them not to vote for ADC or NDC, the parties fielding Sen Abubakar Umar Tutare and Prof. Yahaya Mohammed Sani Yahya the same Governorship candidate Dr. Jalo publicly supported during the 2023 governorship election, when he urged Tarabans to vote for him.

In his latest message, Dr. Jalo says “Choosing NDC would amount to repeating the same political choices Tarabans have made for more than 20 years without achieving the desired result.

“The most appropriate decision in this year’s election is for all our people to exercise further patience and vote for the APC.” the Islamic Cleric Said.

This a significant milestone and political twist from Dr. Jalo, particularly given his previous antecedent during the 2023 election.
