Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has paid glowing tribute to Nigeria’s late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, on the first anniversary of his passing, saying his life of service, discipline and patriotism will continue to inspire generations of Nigerians.
Governor Radda said it is one year since the passing of the former President, but his memory remains alive in the hearts of millions of Nigerians who admired his commitment to honesty, accountability and national service.
The Governor described the late former President as one of Nigeria’s most respected leaders whose dedication to the country’s unity and development left a lasting mark on the nation’s history.
“He was one of our beloved leaders and one of Katsina State’s greatest sons. Although he is no longer with us, his values of integrity, discipline, simplicity and love for Nigeria continue to speak for him,” Governor Radda said.
He noted that Buhari served Nigeria with commitment at different stages of his life, first as a military officer, later as Head of State, and subsequently as a democratically elected President, always placing the interest of the nation above personal gain.
Governor Radda said the people of Katsina State remain proud of the late President’s contributions to national development and his unwavering dedication to public service.
He urged Nigerians, especially the younger generation, to reflect on Buhari’s life by embracing honesty, hard work, selflessness and love for the country.
The Governor also called on citizens to continue praying for the peaceful repose of the late former President, describing prayers as the best way to honour his memory.
Governor Radda further prayed to God to forgive the late former President, comfort his family, the people of Katsina State and all Nigerians.
