Jema’a council chair in Kaduna State, Averik visits Dangoma, Rugan Ruguni over missing persons

The Chairman, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mr Peter Danjuma Averik has visited Dangoma community in Kaninkon Chiefdom and Rugan Ruguni in Ungwan Yashi, Zikpak Chiefdom to sympathise with them especially the immediate families of the district scribe Alhaji Salau Musa and Salihu Adamu who the families said were missing since Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
The chairman’s concern was contained in a statement Monday by the Information Officer of the council, Simeon Sunday Dauda.
Alhaji Salau Musa from Dangoma and Salihu Adamu from Rugan Ruguni were declared missing by their families after the pandemonium in Kafanchan and surrounding communities following the attack on the neighbouring villages of Takau and Zunuruk in Jema’a and Kaura local government areas respectively.
Averik described the incident as most unfortunate and needless and wonder the gain for deliberately spreading falsehood and baseless rumour without verification.
He cautioned the people in the area to desist from spreading unfounded rumours of alleged attack as the local government he said would no longer tolerate such as it is capable of truncating the relative peace being enjoyed in the area.
He called on both families of the missing persons and their respective communities at large to bear with the situation and leave everything to God who he said will reward everyone according to their deeds on the judgement day.
In their separate response, an elder in Dangoma community, retired Warrant Officer Idris Wazobia said the case of Alhaji Salau Musa is the sixth which he alleged all happened within Takau axis and pleaded with the councillor representing Takau Ward, Hon Luka Ayuba to caution the youth against the evil act.
Also speaking on behalf of Alhaji Salau’s family, the former District Head of Dangoma and Wamban Kaninkon chiefdom, Alhaji Mamuda Suleiman said they were consoled by the chairman’s concern as demonstrated by his timely visit ànd said they have cautioned their youths against reprisal as the family he said has accepted their fate as a will of God.
On his part, the elder brother to Salihu Adamu, Alhaji Bayero Adamu thanked the chairman, his entourage and the people of Ungwan Yashi for the solidarity and love shown to the family and said they have no grudge with anybody adding that God alone gives and takes life.
Similarly, the chairman was also at Makarawuta Street, Ward B in Kafanchan to extend the council’s sympathy to Alhaji Sani Musa who was attacked along side four others on same Wednesday by irate youths somewhere before Emaco filling station, Kafanchan while returning from a business trip.
Among the chairman’s entourage were the council’s Vice chairman, Micah Ngboni Diggah, Secretary, Amos Samaila, and councillors representing Takau Ward and Kafanchan Ward B, Ayuba Luka and Zakari Bala Mohammed respectively.
