Obiano Commissions 81-rooms Golden Tulip Hotels Agulu

The Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano says with the foundational steps taken by his administration to encourage investors, Anambra State is now wide open to business.
Governor Obiano who made this known during the grand opening of the Golden Tulip Hotels, Agulu, Anambra State noted that with its 81 superlative rooms, the facility which sits on a 5.5 hectare premises, it promises to be a model for hospitality projects in the country.
The Governor who said that under his watch, two hundred and eighteen hotels have sprang up due to the security architecture in place, pointed out that the project will promote the State as a hub for tourism, and appreciated Agulu people for their support during the course of the project.
The Senator representing Anambra Central at the National Assembly, Senator Victor Umeh, described the moment as glorious in the life of APGA administration in the State, and applauded the Governor’s quality and comprehensive governance.
Earlier, the Chairman Board of Trustees of the Hotel, Professor Chukwuma Soludo said that the hotel is one of the signature projects of the Governor, whose foundation was laid few months before the expiration of the tenure of the former Governor.
The Chairman of the Golden Tulip West Africa, Mr. Amaechi Ndili while describing the project as the phase one, said that it is an expansion of the hospitality industry in the state.
A stakeholder from Agulu, Chief Dan Ogbuefi and an expert in the hospitality industry, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka said the benefits of the project are enormous especially with respect to employment opportunities, revenue generation and tourism prospects it brings to the state.
