The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the forthcoming general elections, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed joy for the discovery of crude oil in the North East of the country, with the official flag-off of the exploration by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He described it as a healthy development that will go a long way in revitalising the fortunes of the Northeastern region in particular and the country at large.
The former Vice President stated that fortune has again smiled on Nigeria as the exploration will create opportunities for more investment in education which should give priority to skills training and entrepreneurship development, that in return, will further generate prosperity for our young people and guarantee a better future for the upcoming generation.
Atiku stated that the discovery is without prejudice to his focus in diversifying the Nigerian economy which will ensure multiple streams of revenues for the country.
