AIG urges new Deputy Commissioner of Police to make a difference in public service

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 6, Calabar, AIG Mustapha Mohammed Bal has charged newly promoted Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dankwano D. Wilson to distinguish himself in public service.

He stated this Wednesday when he decorated Wilson, a former Commander, Police Mobile Force 11 in his office in Calabar.

Congratulating Wilson, the AIG disclosed that it was a privilege to attain such a senior rank in the force. 

He urged him to display leadership characteristics, so as to consolidate on the good reputation of the force.

Bala confirmed that Wilson’s promotion was well earned.

He urged him to be more committed as this has come with additional responsibility.

“You are deserving of this promotion having worked hard for it. But note however that it is a privilege to rise to this exalted rank. You must therefore be exemplary in your leadership acumen.”

In a statement signed by zone six acting PRO, Edim Obazi Eyam, Bala explained that “Promotion is a core mandate of the Inspector-General of Police aimed at boosting the morale of Police personnel for effective service delivery by identifying, elevating and positioning deserving officers professionally.”

According to the statement, the newly decorated Officer expressed deep appreciation to the Inspector – General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun,  the Police Service Commission, the AIG and his management team for finding him worthy for the promotion.

He pledged to redouble on the performance of his duties to justify the confidence reposed in him.
