The Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the August 31st 2024 local government elections in the State.
Announcing the result, the Commission’s Chairman, Aliyu Muhammad Mera, said the results for Council Chiarmen were collated and declared for the 21 local government areas and that of Councilors of the 225 wards.
He said the twenty one local government council Chairmen were elected along with their deputies as well as the two hundred and twenty five Councilors in peaceful voting exercise.
While presenting certificates of return to the elected Council Chiarmen, the Chairman said, the election that brought them was free, fair and peaceful.
Speaking shortly after receiving certificate of return, the Birnin Kebbi Local Government Chairman-elect, Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa thanked the people of the state for turning out an mass and voted them into, saying they would justify the confidence reposed in them.
