Taraba labour lauds Senate over agric varsity in Jalingo

Taraba State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC), has lauded the Senate for the recent passage of the Bill establishing Federal University of Agriculture in Jalingo.
State Chairman of the Congress, Peter Jediel said the passage of the Bill is a good omen in view of the enormous agricultural potentials that abound in Taraba State.
Peter Jediel said apart from providing qualified middle manpower and employ opportunities, the University will also contribute in raising the educational advancement of the state and beyond.
The Chairman praised Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku, Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau, former member of the House of Representatives, Aminu Malle and all other stakeholders who contributed in ensuring the passage of the Bill.
He appealed to Tarabans, particularly residents of the Jalingo metropolis to support and partner with the government to achieve the lofty objectives of establishing the University.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the NLC, Peter Jediel has cautioned members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria to put their acts together and not to indulge in any activity capable of disrupting peace in the state.
Speaking on the backdrop of a rift between members of the Association over leadership, said any attempt to undermine the peace process in the state will not be tolerated and asked members to follow constitutional process in revolving their differences.
The Chairman appealed to Tarabans to tolerate one another in the interest of harmonious co-existence.
