The Zuru Emirate Council of Chiefs has urged the media team of Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, to sustain what it described as the “reality show” of infrastructural projects executed across the state.
The call was made during separate courtesy visits by the media team to the palaces of traditional rulers in the emirate.
The Emir of Zuru and Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo III, said “without fear of contradiction” that Governor Nasir Idris has performed creditably well in improving the socio-economic well-being of the people across all sectors.
This was contained in a statement by Abdullahi Idris Sadaukin Zuru, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to Kebbi State Governor.
He noted that it is “no longer a secret” that the Governor, Garkuwan Zuru, has saved lives and restored economic fortunes, particularly through the reconstruction of the long-abandoned Koko-Zuru federal road.
The Emir also highlighted other achievements, including the establishment of mega secondary schools with additional subjects and skills acquisition programs, rehabilitation, and construction of new healthcare institutions across the four local government areas of the emirate.

Alhaji Mika’ilu Sami Gomo III commended the governor’s foresight in initiating the tour to showcase government projects and challenged the media team to “not only sustain the tempo but also improve on it.”
He added: “Although as leaders to all regardless of political affiliation, we will remain apolitical, but we must appreciate and commend whoever attends to the yearnings and aspirations of our people.”
In a similar vein, the Chief of Wasagu, Alhaji Mukhtar Muhammad Musa, at his palace, commended Governor Idris for his commitment to tackling armed banditry. He, however, called for a periodic review of security strategies to ensure sustainable operations.
Also, at his palace, The Chief of Dabai, Alhaji Suleiman Mika’ilu Sami, appreciated the state government’s empowerment programs, saying they have had a direct and positive impact on the well-being of the people.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, who led the media team and Special Advisers, said the tour was aimed at seeking the support of media organizations in the country, traditional rulers and other stakeholders in changing the narrative of Kebbi state development.
